Men A
Lost: 20v24
The team were behind from the start, managed to get to within 2 frames but slipped again at the end of the match. If we would have a full team, we would have beaten the team.
Outstanding Performance: Adam Haywood won 3 out of 4.
Men B
Won: 26v18
Good result. The Sussex B team was quite weak that allow us to take the match quite effortlessly. Good team humour & atmosphere all round. A good day all in all.
Outstanding Performance: The team.
Men C
Won: 32v12
There are quite many ladies players playing in the Sussex C team. Some new players came into our C team. The team gelled really well and play well all through the season. This match result just round the season superbly.
Outstanding Performance: Dev Chadha, Jon Ashby, Josh Bostock & Shaun Sehmi won 4 out of 4, Dean Hardesty won 2 out of 2.
Ladies
Won: 23v21
Well done to Micky for winning the match for us. We had a good time in Yarmouth, the result was buzzing through this last game of the season. All players are gearing up to a win and now we have all we deserved.
Comments from JV:
I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Jenny as Captain and to Dom and Rob for the support you have given the ladies team this season. The team has come on leaps and bounds and that is due to the commitment the team members have and the want to compete. We are now a squad to contend with and compete with. I am very excited about the forthcoming season especially with the win under our belt at the end of the season. The win yesterday just topped off the season the ladies have had and deserve. We have been close a couple of times this season and just haven’t quite made it over the finish line, but yesterday was good and it left everyone feeling positive
Outstanding Performance: Everyone except DC
Men A
Lost: 28v16
It was a disappointment that four to five players didn’t turn up including the captain. We brought up the B team players to do a job for the A team, they played exceptionally well. To play against the London A team, they did not miss a ball when they got to the table. Berkshire received 7 dishes in total. However, the timekeeping on the London side was unsatisfying.
Outstanding Performance: Frank Callaghan won 3 out of 4.
Men B
Lost: 34v10
A total disaster for the B team. We can never compete against London B team even with our full strength team, but losing our usual B team players to the A team didn’t help. The chance for London came first before ours and they took them well. The second quarter we did not get even one win. Gary Sefton never felt to amuse the team, every chance he gets he turn the match to fudging games and they grind out. Thanks for Ashley Dingley to help out the B team.
Outstanding Performance: Adam Haywood won 2 out of 4.
Men C
Lost: 24v20
There’s no reserve for the team on the day, due to all players were used by the B team. Josh, Dean & Trevor were very unlucky on some of their frames. We managed to give too many frames away.
Outstanding Performance: John Barry won 3 out of 4.
Ladies
Lost: 23v21
We were very unlucky to have lost the total score but all our players seemed played well. We should never have gone that far down to put Susie to play the decider as we have four chances before that to win the match. Overall, the two captains were very pleased with Berkshire’s result. Two ladies are qualified for Champion of Champions, who are Michaela & Claire. Well done to both!
Outstanding Performance: Claire Dormer 4 out of 4, Jenny Bartlett won 3 out of 4.

Doctor diagnosed that James had 2 Broken Vertebra on the left inner side of his spine and a Broken Pelvis which has gone back into its original position. Both injuries can heal themselves over a period of time.
More Great news James at home
James has called to let me know that he has made remarkable recovery last night he managed to walk up to 8/10 steps on a Zimmer frame. This morning he was walking a lot more with the frame and then resting for 10 minutes. This afternoon the physio was so pleased with his progress that she got him onto crutches. James got on so well with them and as the Hospital can do no more for him they discharged him to convalesce at home. He is still in a lot of pain but can now at least move about and rest and recuperate at his own pace at home.
I will still keep you all updated with all his progress through the Berkshire website with any further news.
James is in now at home if you have any cards or trinkets you can now pass them to him at the address below.

This is absolutely unbelievable progress who would of thought that from Saturday in traction to being at home on crutches five days later, that’s why he Britain’s hardest.
A Delighted
Robert
James has suffered some severe injuries the main problems being Broken Vertebra in his back and Pelvis Injuries.
Great news
I went to see James last night He is in much better health than the first Doctor diagnosed, he has got 2 Broken Vertebra on the left inner side of his spine which the Doctor cannot operate on and a Broken Pelvis which has gone back into its original position. Both injuries can heal themselves over a period of time and he now has much improved movement at his legs, feet and toes. James even got out of bed and with a frame managed to walk up to 8/10 steps. It is still going to be a painful and long healing process.
I will still keep you all updated with all his progress through the Berkshire website and hopefully all the good news.
James is in Hospital @ the address below if you have any cards or trinkets you wish to pass onto him either send them to the address or give them to me and I will give them to him a.s.a.p.

I will keep you all updated with all his progress through the Berkshire website and hopefully all the good news.
I have spoken to him and he has stated “that he will not be at pool tonight” and I said “well as long as you are available for Thursday”. He also said “the bed is like the plastic ones at Gt Yarmouth” and to anyone who has been there will know that’s not good.(stuck to it)
I have had dozens of fellow pool players, friends and contacts sending their regards and get well soon & speedy recovery messages which I will pass onto Jim when I see him.
Finally a get well soon from Emma and myself
A sad friend

Men A
Lost: 13v31
The result speak for itself, Berkshire was hammered by the Surrey A team. First quarter Berkshire was losing 2v9, the Surrey A team did really well and hardly miss a ball in any matches. Lots more to be improved on for our team. Thanks for Emma to sort out the paperwork for the A team on the day.
Outstanding Performance: Sean Watson won 3 out of 4.
Men B
Lost: 15v29
The difference between the two teams was that, when Berkshire missed a shot, Surrey able to take the game solidly, while when Surrey missed, Berkshire was not always able to finish the game. Four Surrey A team players were injected into the B team, that seemed to have made the team seemed unbeatable. Thanks to TD for helping with the team, and Ashley Dingley for helping out with the administrational side for the team. Congrats to the birth of Adam Haywood’s first child, George….
Outstanding Performance: Adam Haywood won 3 out of 4.
Men C
Won: 24v20
Well done to our C team, we have completed the double this season over Surrey C! First quarter Berkshire was losing 3v8, second quarter still losing 4v7. The next quarter sees Berkshire coming back with a win of 9v2, then we won the last quarter at 8v3. Surrey were absolutely shell-shot at our team winning 19 of the last 24 frames. The team atmosphere was great and everyone is geeing everyone on to help. Sean Semi, John Barry & Baron Staple, all won 2 out of 2.
Thanks must goes to our A & B teams supporting the C team on the day.
Outstanding Performance: Jezz Hill won 4 out of 4 and Sukhneer Singh won 3 out of 4.
Ladies
Lost: 17v27
With three players missing from the team this month you would of thought it would be a struggle, but the ladies have not been doing too badly lately and with a slightly weekend team did well. This match was the best results against Surrey for at least six years. Lisa certainly shined out of the group with a great win of 3 out of 4 and is improving all the time.
Outstanding Performance: Ann Middleton, Lisa Floyd and Jacquie Vann all won 3 out of 4.
Men A
Won: 25v19
First quarter Berkshire was losing, Sefton came late and turn the match around. The whole team played well. Jordon Church was very unlucky lost 4 out of 4. Kent have a few new players, the usual crowd wasn’t there on Sunday. DH reckons the Berkshire A team was making too much noise…..(joke)
Outstanding Performance: Peter Loft & Sefton Payne, Robert Uzzell, Andy Brant and Leigh Munday, both won 3 out of 4.
Men B
Won: 24v20
Disastrous start with a 6 nil lost. However, most of the players manage to pull themselves together and won at the second half of the match. RU liked to express his appreciation to Ed Rumsey’s great effort to pull himself back into the game. Disappointing performance from Scott, but he was always around supporting the team. TD like to thanks DH positive attitude and gee up the team. DH reckon apparently the Berkshire B team was too noisy as well……!!!
Outstanding Performance: Ed Rumsey & Gary Sefton, both won 4 out of 4, Scott Matthews won both of his games.
Men C
Lost: 17v27
We didn’t have any luck on the day, the team struggle all the way through, however, great effort from all the players and team spirit has been great. DH like to say a great thank you to Adam Haywood for playing for the team while his wife giving birth to his baby in the hospital.
Outstanding Performance: Adam Haywood 4 out of 4, Dean Preston won 3 out of 4 (with 1 break & dish).
Ladies
Lost: 9v35
Disappointing result on the day, though all players were trying very hard to break through to the double figure. RU like to say that it was very impressive that DC claim her four wins against Kent. Michaela still playing a solid game of pool, and is an asset to the team.
Outstanding Performance: Dom Chiu won 4 out of 4.
