RACKS has gone into liquidation.
Hardly a huge shock given the fact that its run by inept chimps but it is still a big loss for Maidenhead. How on earth the owners had 5 snooker clubs on the go at one point is anyones guess but they are all gone now - this was the last one.
I would advise anyone who has a monthly membership to get to your bank and cancel it as soon as possible.
Just in case anyone doesn't know already, Racks has now been re-open (over 2 months ago). Its new owner Dylan Leary and Kelly Sears is doing a spanking good job with the club. I am more looking forward for a re-layout of the American Pool area and see more 8ball tables being installed. Also the current tables may need a bit of attention but all will come in good times... Good luck Dylan & Kelly. Well done... I am sure you bring a lot of joys back to the local pool players in Maidenhead... !! :)
Seems to be spreading. First Rileys liquidate/shrink, now racks. Q-World in Southampton has apparently closed also, which is used by Hamshire County Pool and Region 7 Tour.
