well said brad RIP splatty
very sadened to hear of Steve's passing, not entireley shocked because i did know he was unfortunately ill, more of a shock by way of........
you still seem to think people will go on and pull through, then all of a sudden they go !
Not unlike the comments made by his close friends, steve was very wise and never had a bad word to say about anyone.
He once gave me some good advice, it was about pool, but it covered a much bigger picture for life its self. So thanks Steve if your up there listening.
Everytime i saw him he would be SMILING and thats what he advised me about, thing is, he didn't even know he had given me advice.
I might not get the results i should but before i'd met him i was fast, cocky and arrogant and looked miserable. I still get the hump, generally because if i don't get the result its annoying because i know i can do better and should of won, but now, having met him down Willows in 2001 i know i have calmed down, slowed down and TRY, not to be arrogant or cocky. The main thing I do though is...........
SMILE. Everyone just think - everytime you have seen me..........Ive said hello, looked pleased to see you and was SMILING.
Thats the bigger picture and wisdom he brought, and thats the bigger picture in life that more of us should adhere to. No attribute in life worth having could be bigger than making people smile......... and splatty did that -
I am really upset to hear of his passing and would like to extend my deepest sympathy to all his close friends and family
