Looking forward to county this season after a needed break I think the A team could be a match for anyone if the players who have said are going to play turn up time will tell and maybe ones that have turned up stop turning up alright ruzzler!!!! :D :D :D :D
P.S Only joking Rob!!!
Your not wrong jimmy boy shows every season but I think if the team spirit could be good who knows although I Think team spirit is something berkshire hasn't been totally renown for over the last couple of seasons gone are the days of dean godwyn mouthy little git but was very vocal I think you tried alone last season but hopefully this year with beer flowing we can get it back!!! :?: :?:
My dear fellows, I have read your plight and realised we had similar problems down at the Polo club with match attendance. The Commodore was beside himself because of people not attending and worse still not offering the slightest bally excuse for their absence.
Eventually Sir Sydney-Harbour Bridge suggested that all players must pay £10 at the start of the season. All the money was then refunded back to all players attending 7 out of the 10 matches which they could use as entry fees for the end of season competition if they so wished.
We had 40 players for the first chukka of the season who put in £10 each and so £400 was collected and stored in the old silver snuff box behind the bookcase. When the season was over we had the lawns relaid and manicured and Lady Chippendale-Furniture allowed us to host a competition for the Silver Salver of Leamington Spa. We only had 25 players who had made the neccessary 7 out of 10 appearances so we split the £400 by 25. Each player got £16 so they were able to take their £10 back and put the £6 towards the entry fee for the tournament therefore getting it much cheaper.
This will benefit those of you who regulary put in the effort to attend and is not likely to bring complaint if properly instigated at the begining of your county season.
For the record Major Smith-Smythe Smith defeated the ghastly Colonel Proud-Stocking 4 to 2. Huzzah.
The Good Lord has spoken.
Although no one cares and no one will probably bother replying -
I need to get something off my chest :
I want to apologise to Ann Middleton for any offence caused by my actions and attitude during the most recent trials.
Although Ive been offended by certain people's actions personally over the last few seasons and have felt a little agrieved by it...i realise now that it did, by no means, give me the right to openly make certain people feel...the way i did
It takes alot to admit your wrong...
but i was and albeit...learnt from it...
feel the need to apologise
( altho a long time ago and forgotten about )...
Ann...
I am Sorry
