Berkshire County Association Chairman 2012
It is with much regret that I have to inform you that the Chairman of the Royal Berkshire County Pool Association Mr John Young has decided to resign from his post. We would like to take this opportunity to thanks him for his hard work over the past year and wish him all the best for the future.
With immediate effect and in line with our constitution, our current Vice Chairman, Steve Panteli, will stand in as Acting Chairman for the remainder of 2012 season. The Executive Committee are confident that he will be of great service to our Association and with the help from the rest of us, we will remain efficient as we have always been.

What a disaster to hear this
What a disaster to hear this :( It's a shame that John has felt the need to step down and especially for the reasons that I have been told. If they are true then the 3/4 people who were bombarding him with messages should be ashamed of themselves.
A lot of hard work has gone into putting Berkshire on the map and this year holds big hope of silverware and this really does not help and damages the graft that has been put in to unite this county.
I'm not confident that what has been done to replace John will be successful and I urge an emergency meeting to be called to vote in a new chairman. Every registered county player should be eligible to vote. This is OUR county and we should have a say about who leads us going forward.

Hi Dishes for fun and anyone else who are wondering what is going on.
I and the rest of the committee have the utmost respect for John Young and unfortunately if JY dose not think that he can continue in his roll then that is his decision and know one else’s. At least 3x Committee members have e mailed letters to him to try to persuade him to stay on + several phone calls But JY has declined, a great loss but we must carry on. We now have moved on and as our constitution states the Vice Chairman Automatically takes over as Acting Chairman until the next AGM in December. Rather than giving out any grief why don’t you the members try and support him as best you can. The Executive Committee know he has had little experience but we are still willing to help Steve all we can so I hope that gives all of you peace of mind. Give Steve a chance if he succeeds then all well and good if not Steve will know what to do, After his period of time as acting chairman He or anyone else can stand for election putting there names forward to the General Secretary No later than the end of August 2012.
