Men A
Lost: 31v13
A very disappointed loss, the day was a struggle. The whole team came so close to many frames but somehow seemed to turn the wrong way, at one point, we lost 13 frames in a row. Surrey played very well as a team but not a lot of differences between the players.
Outstanding Performance: James Harness won 2 out of 4.
Men B
Lost: 27v17
We were beaten by a better side; Surrey was definitely a very strong team. Four frames however, could have been won and we would have tightened the gap of the result. The 16 frames out of our best four players, we only managed to win four frames.
Outstanding Performance: John Harling won 4 out of 4, Steve Ring won 3 out of 4
Men C
Won: 20v24
Team talk at the beginning of the match was very positive. All players worked as a team and it turned out to be an amazing result. Though some of the players were 2v0 down in the first half, but the captains decided to keep the team as they were and it worked out well. Shot of the day went to Adam Haywood.
Outstanding Performance: Scott Matthew won 4 of 4, Frank Callaghan and Terry Dingley both won 3 out of 4.
Ladies
Lost: 31v13
Ladies squad clocked up four ducks by four seasoned players. The team jelled very well but all games seemed so close and yet so far. The result this year however, was an improvement from last year, clearly the team is climbing up slowly and steadily.
Outstanding Performance: Claire Dormer 3 out of 4.
